HOW TO CALCULATE PRICING FOR OTHER GAUGES

To estimate the weight of discs in other gauges multiply the weight for the size and alloy from the above table by the factor for the other gauge from the table below.
    Gauge Factor Gauge Factor
    10 2.528 22 0.627
    12 2.005 24 0.489
    14 1.590 26 0.396
    16 1.261 28 0.314
    18 1.000 30 0.249
    20 0.792

    Example: 1 5/8" disc in 22 gauge 14K yellow.

    1. Multiply the weight of an 18 gauge sheet by the conversion factor for 22 gauge
      11.42 dwt x .627 = 7.16 dwt
    2. Multiply the weight by the quantity bracket price located on the karat gold schedule:
      7.16 dwt falls in the 5 - 10 dwt rate for 14K yellow sheet = $15.51 + $1.00(disc addition) (@ $400 market)
      7.16 dwt x $16.51 = $118.21

    (more pricing schedules)

For gold, platinum, and palladium pricing is based on the sheet price plus an additional fabrication charge for discs. For sterling, fine silver, and reticulation silver (820) refer to the sterling disc price schedule based on disc size and quantity.
